Video Fluoroscopic Barium Swallow Studies

With the purchase of a specific type of video fluoroscopic chair, patients that are experiencing difficulty in swallowing can now be adequately positioned for a barium swallow study.

Patients that may be referred for this procedure are those suspected of having a variety of medical conditions that may cause dysphagia, or difficulty in swallowing. Some of these medical conditions may be stroke, head injury, neurological disease, head or neck cancer, or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
